This Viz is about game animals killed in Peninsular Malaysia from the year 2005 to 2011. Game animal is wild animal hunted for sport or for resources. The animals that available for hunt in Malaysia are Asiatic Cobra, Barking Deer, Civet, Flying Fox, Leaf-Monkey, Long-Tailed Macaque, Mouse Deer, Pig-Tailed Macaque, Porcupine, Python, Sambar Deer, Water Monitor and Wild Boar. The Viz shows the number of game animals killed, by states, species and year. It also show the top state and top animals killed and difference of game animals killed each year.
As you can see on the map of Peninsular Malaysia, it shows the total number of game animals killed in each state by size. So, the bigger the size of the circle, the larger the number of game animals killed and that means that Perak has the highest number of game animals killed. You can also see the number of game animals killed by year where the thick lines represent the total number of kills. For example, there are many hunting activities done in Perak from the year 2005 until 2008.

The next story tells types of game animals. You can see that the highest number of game animal killed is Python with more than 500,000. Plus, you can see throughout the year that Python highest number of kills is in year of 2006.

The next visualization tells you deeper story and much more information that you can gain in a single visualization. From the chart, you can see that the year 2006 number is high above the average and during that year, Perak has the biggest size showing that it has the highest number of game animals killed, followed by Pahang and Selangor. Moreover, you can also see that Python is the highest game animal killed for the year 2006, followed by Water Monitor and Flying Fox.

The final visualization shows the total differences and percentage differences of game animal killed by year. You can see the blue line that hunting increases from 2005 until 2006 by 65.6% or in number 106,652. From 2006 to 2008 the number drops rapidly and slowly increasing again until year 2010. But, in 2011 the number of game animals dropped significantly with -91.1% or 105,061 less than 2010.
